Message from Pastor Paula
Greetings from the International City and the fine folks of First Presbyterian Church. I have been privileged to be the pastor here for almost 10 years and it seems the time has flown. This is my first pastoral call, but I have been in full-time ministry for most of my adult life. My first career was as a certified Christian educator, working with children and youth primarily. My love for music has also played an important role in my ministry as a choir director, bandleader, songwriter, and worship planner. We do worship well at First Presbyterian, with a diverse and relaxed feel, and a narrative preaching style full of engaging stories from Scripture and life. We open our doors to all with our LOGOS midweek discipleship ministry for children and youth, our neighborhood parties, and lots of mission service. Every person is a child of God and a friend we want to know better. Won't you join us? I believe we will all be better for it and that God will be honored by our time together.
Lenten Luncheons: Our Lenten Luncheon theme is “Grace Stories” where we will look at Biblical stories of God’s grace every Tuesday in March. The lunch begins at noon and ends in time for folks to return to work by 1:00 pm.
